Saturday 1st September:

Meet the tour leader at the Malta International Airport at 0350 hrs, to check in for your Air Malta direct flight to Catania departing at 0550 hrs. Upon arrival at 0630 hrs, collection of luggage and proceed to your coach. On your way to Messina you shall stop for a quick coffee (extra). You arrive in Messina Port where you embark the ferry to Villa San Giovanni. Upon arrival your coach shall take you to the town of Reggio Calabria. Some free time to walk down the streets of this ancient city that begins over two millennia. Free time for lunch (extra). Later afternoon you will be transferred to your hotel. Check-in and assignment of rooms followed by a suggested good rest. Later you can enjoy some relaxing time by the pool. Dinner (optional) together at the hotel.

Sunday 2nd September:

After breakfast, today we offer you a half day excursion to “the Pearl of the Tyrrhenian Sea” Tropea, a small town on the east coast of Calabria, in southern Italy. It’s known for its clifftop historic centre, beaches and prized red onions. Built on a former Byzantine cemetery, the 12th-century cathedral has marble sarcophagi and a painting of the Madonna of Romania, the town’s protector. Nearby is a viewpoint over the hills. The centuries-old Santa Maria dell’Isola Church is on a rock overlooking the sea. Return to your hotel. Dinner (optional) together at the hotel.

Monday 3rd September:

After breakfast we encourage you to join your tour leader for a half day excursion to visit Capo Vaticano & Monte Poro. Your first stop is in Capo Vaticano which is a wide bathing place in the Municipality of Ricadi in Calabria. The ‘Cape’ is formed by particular white-gray granite, which is examined worldwide for its geologic characteristics. Some free time to admire this beautiful area. You then proceed to Monte Poro to visit Zungri, the village of rock. A memorable testimony to prehistoric man’s ability to “adapt” to his surrounding environment, shaping rock to create shelter. Proceed to your hotel. Dinner (optional) together at the hotel.

Tuesday 4th September:

Breakfast and today we offer you a must excursion to the Isole Eolie. Your private coach shall take you to Tropea to board a motorboat for a pleasure cruise to the picturesque Aeolian islands. Visit Stromboli, known as the lighthouse of the Mediterranean, due to its perpetual activity and watch the famous Sciara del Fuoco out at sea. Discover Lipari, the largest island with its historical port district and the 16th-century castle complex towering over the main town. Vulcano is the natural spa island, with bubbling mud pits and fizzy warm waters where you have time to relax and swim. Return back to Tropea where your private coach shall be waiting for you to take you back to your hotel in time for dinner (optional).

Wednesday 5th September:

Breakfast and today we offer you an excursion to Pizzo Calabro. You proceed to Pizzo, a small town in Calabria facing the Gulf of Sant’Eufemia. Here you shall visit the church of Piedigrotta (extra). The traditional story about the church seems to confirm the old adage, “man proposes, God disposes”. Some free time for lunch (extra). Your last stop for the day is a visit to the Aragonese Castle, which is one of the most famous castles for the Calabria region. Return to your hotel. Dinner (optional) together at the hotel.

Thursday 6th September:

Breakfast and followed by room check-out. Your coach shall take you to Villa San Giovanni port to get the Ferry to Messina. Upon arrival in Sicily you shall be transferred to your hotel in the Catania region. Check-in and assignment of rooms. Free afternoon at your own leisure.

Friday 7th September:

After breakfast, today we offer you transfers to two main shopping centres in Sicily. This is a shopping spree day for all those shopaholic persons who simply just can’t get enough from shops. Our first stop is in Centro Di Sicilia which is situated in Misterbianco, just a few minutes’ drive from your hotel. You can find 150 shops under one roof. For lunch time (extra) you can choose to eat at one of the 11 food stalls this centre has to offer. Later afternoon you proceed to Porte Di Catania, another massive shopping centre. You can find also an “Auchan” food store where you can buy some local food to take back home with you. Return to your hotel.

Saturday 8th September:

Breakfast at your own leisure followed by room check-out. You can keep your luggages in a designated area offered by the hotel. Today we suggest you make your own way to Catania’s famous market which will remain open all day. It’s a must to have lunch in one of the many local trattorias this place has to offer (extra). In the afternoon you can have a short visit to Giardino Bellini, one of the oldest urban park of Catania. Make sure you will be back at the hotel reception in time for your coach transfer to Pozzallo port to embark the Catamaran departing at 2130hrs to Malta.
